'Rebel Disco' is one of my favourite 12" singles from Studio 1 (The other one is 'Tenor On Call'). It's a heavy horns and organ instrumental that just doesn't let up from start to finish. The other side is a sweet vocal by Ken Parker with a really nice extended dub (it has a proper stereo mix).

FWIW, I never *got* "Rebel Disco", but the Dynamic Ken Parker has long been a favourite chez Reason. I first heard "My Whole World.." on a Bamboo sampler that was already old when I bought it in 1980.
He has long since given up secular music, and performs only Gospel these days, when he's based in Florida. thus far I have totally failed to locate a copy of his "Keep Your eyes on Jesus" LP on Tabernacle/Melodisc. The two tracks I've found online, namely the title track and "Will the Circle Be Unbroken" are both as wonderful as you would expect.
Thanks for the tip VoR. I'd never even heard of that lp before, but there's a high-quality rip of the whole record on this blog:

It's a pretty crackly copy but I really enjoyed listening to it.
Indded so - on searching last night I found it. LOT of Jim Reeves covers "This World Is Not My Home", "The Flowers The Sunset The Trees", "Teach Me How To Pray", and "Across the Bridge" are all associated with him.
